Dear brothers, sister, respected elders and honorable judges
Asalam o Alakum Warah matulahi wabarakatuhu

As you all known the topic of my speech is the love of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) being the root of iman.

Probably half you of you are like, “yeah we get it, we love the Holy Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) and can we get over with this.” But keep in mind, this love that we have for the Holy Prophet (saw) is not something ordinary. This love should not be the love you have for your siblings, parents, or friends. In fact, it is the Hadith that none is a true believer unless he loves the Holy Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) more than his life, family, parents, and belongings.

This love for Holy Prophet (s.a.w) is the strongest love you should have after the love of our merciful lord Allah (s.w.t). In fact the great scholars of our time say that the love of the Holy Prophet (saww) and the love of the Allah are one. When you love you love both, you can’ t love Allah without loving the Holy Prophet (saw) and you can’t love the Holy Prophet without loving Allah (swt).

Now my brother and sisters the question arises how do we love this great creation of Allah, the beloved of Allah, well I am not going to answer I will give you the answer Allah (swt) gave us Himself. Allah (swt) says in the Quran:

“Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet. O ye who believe! you also should invoke blessings on him and salute him with the salutation of peace.”
Now pay attention closely to the way Allah (swt) is portraying His extreme love for the Holy Prophet (saw) in this ayah, Our lord Allah (s.w.t) Himself praises the Holy Prophet Muhammad (s.w.t). Allah loves him so dearly that he swears an oath on the city, era, and age of the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w). With his name Allah always mentions the name of the Holy prophet (s.a.w), showing his excellence. When Almighty Allah spoke of the other Messengers, he used their names, but for Huzoor (s.a.w) he used his blessed titles. The love between the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) and Allah is unbreakable. Love for the holy prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) is love for Allah (s.w.t).

This is the real love of the holy prophet (s.w.t) .If you dearly love him you will not only send Salam on our Beloved (s.a.w) but also you would always speak the truth and follow and spread the Sunnah of our Rasool (s.a.w) and Inshallah you will enter Paradise. Sayyiduna Anas (r.a) reports that Rasulullah (s.a.w) said, “Whoever cherishes my Sunnah, indeed he cherishes me and whoever loves me will be with me in Jannah.”
One who rejects the Sunnah of the holy prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) is warned severely by Rasulullah (s.a.w) with the words, ‘I curse him, Allah curses him and so does every Prophet of Allah [alayhis salaam].If you follow the Sunnah of the prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) you will Inshallah enter Jannah.

It was in his charity that the entire universe came into existence. If it was not for him we would not even be standing here right know. If it was not for him we would not even have the iman, faith that we have today. We probably wouldn’t even be Muslim today if it was not for the existence of our holy prophet Muhammad (s.a.w). Our life, time, and existence should be for Allah (s.w.t) and his blessed messenger alone.

Once at a grand milad our famous and beloved scholar Dr. Muhammad Tahir al-Qadri gave a few hour lecture, after the program a young man came up to him and said its really sad that all night we mentioned the Holy Prophet (saw) but never once made mention of Allah. Upon hearing this the sheikh answered him by saying The zikr of Rasulullah (saw) is the zikr of Allah. How may you ask, well for example if I made a masterpiece and displayed it out in the front and every time people would see my master piece, they praise it and I would be the one feeling happy and joyful because it is my beautiful masterpiece that they are praising which in reality they are really praising me on my work. Now if you look at the big picture one can now understand when one praise the Holy Prophet (saw) and consistently mention him they are in fact praising Allah and remembering Allah (swt)

Subhanallah

Before I end my speech I like to say

A true love holds great test and success is to accept the beloved totally. True love and reverence for the Holy prophet (s.a.w) is the first condition of imaan. May our lives and death be blessed with the love of our prophet (s.a.w)
Amen
